I've worked in Information Technology as a Programmer/Analyst since 1989. Received my formal education first on Mainframe Operations for the IBM 3190 & 4341, later the IBM Systems 36 and AS400. Not too long afterwards, I migrated and received my formal education on Mainframe Programming Languages.
In the field at various Fortune 500+ corporations around 1990, I was thrust into the growing trend of Client / Server programming, and GUI design. At the onset of which is now the public Internet, I migrated to distributed application development, while doing a stint as a web developer for a downtown San Francisco based Internet Service Provider located in the historic Russ building. My broad range of practical experience combines Systems Integration, and Application Automation for Workflow engineering. My career in Information Technology has been contiguous, and includes:
- Four years working as a Contractor for I.T. related Staffing Firms based in California, and Nevada.
- Two years teaching Web Technologies for the summer adult evening courses at Skyline Community College (reporting Dean of Business: Linda Avelar).
- Six years running my own Custom Software Programming business as a DBA
- Three years owning and operating my own Internet Service Provider business (Microsoft Certified Solution Provider for 3 of those years) serving customers of the Daly City-Colma Chamber of Commerce.
